To Change Your Life, Simply Change Your Mind.

Sure! It's easy, right? All I have to do is decide to be rich. Decide to be happy. Decide to be a leader. Well, that is a major portion of reaching the goal...

THINK ABOUT IT. Is there anything about your life that isn't 100% in your head? Everything you've experienced since birth is in that brain of yours. Everything you have seen, touched, smelled, tasted, or heard, you have done with your brain. So, the stuff in your brain is your entire life experience and it's everything you know.

You can only use what you know to make smart choices. So, how do you fill your head with the right kind of information so you can make smart choices in life? It's not as hard as you imagine.

Time to change your mind!
Time to change your mind!

We can talk about nutrition for the brain, exercise for the brain, the many parts of the brain, and what each part does...but, the important stuff is what you put in your brain (knowledge) and how you apply it. The more information you have, the more experiences you can learn from, the better you will be prepared to make smart choices. I'm not just talking about school and book knowledge. That's very important, too.

I'm talking about the "life knowledge" you can only get from living...from experiencing. The longer you live, the wiser and smarter you become. That's what our goal is at Island Learning Center...to bring you the real experiences of as many people as possible, so you can learn from them, which will help you choose the right path...the smart path.

What's in your head?
What's in your head?

Here's an example. Let's say you are in a snowball fight. When a snowball comes at your head, what do you do? You duck. Why? You duck because, if you don't, it could really hurt and that's no fun. Live has taught you, when something is moving fast and it hits you in the head, it usually hurts. But, what do you do when someone asks you to do work? Maybe you are a carpenter, but a friend asks you to help them work on a car engine. What do you do? It's a small challenge. Do you say, "I don't know anything about engines."? Or, to you say, "I don't know anything a bout engines, but I will be glad to help."? If you help your friend, you might gain some knowledge that will help you work on your engine later in life. Simple example, but the person who accepts the challenge will benefit from gaining a small bit of knowledge, compared to the person who didn't accept the challenge.

So, Island Learning Center is recording the experiences of many people. A small life lesson; everyone has had a different experience in life and I can learn something from every person I meet. You just have to make sure you learn the right things. Surround yourself with people who have the knowledge you want. Learn as much as you can from them, so you can make the right decisions.

Join Island Learning Center. You can put the posts from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Pintrest in your brain. Or, you can fill your head with TV shows, XBOX games, or YouTube videos. Hey, everyone has to have fun! But, wouldn't it be better to learn something interesting from a guy who was the pilot of an SR-71 Blackbird? Or, maybe you can learn something from a guy who is a brain surgeon, or rocket scientist?

Now it's your choice. See? This is exactly what we're talking about. Go play games on the computer, or get the knowledge you need to make smart choices. ;^)
